Originally commissioned by the Performing Mobilities. Curated by Mick Douglas
As part of Fluid States, PSI event #21Melbourne, 2015
In collaboration with Nadia Cusimano / An OSCA Associate Artist project
TOWN CROSSINGS is an experimental performance/mapping project that invites people to take a Frisbee and make a journey around the local area. In TOWN CROSSINGS each player is invited to record their haphazard pathways, acts of territorial transgression, incidental conversations and playful exchanges, by various methods that on return form part of the exhibited works. By encouraging participation within the gallery space as an open and flexible apparatus, TOWN CROSSINGS engages with play & playfulness as a way to collectively produce new understandings of where we live.
