ADHOCRACY

Co-curated by Emma Webb and Paul Gazzola

ADHOCRACY is an ongoing national experimental arts hothouse as part of the VITALSTATISTIX annual program of events. Adhocracy is a festival of ideas meets intense art camp meets magic house party that supports the creative development of new experimental and multidisciplinary arts projects. Artists from around Australia and South Australia are invited through application to create, converse and critique in an open studio environment over four days and nights at the heritage-listed Waterside building to develop new work that can span performance, live art, sound, visual art and more. Adhocracy encourages ideas/projects in the early stages of the process of making and experimentation. Additionally, each year Adhocracy includes a residency project, which teams’ interstate guest artists with South Australian collaborators. As part of this unique national lab, audiences engage with the artists and their projects through a public program of artist talks and work-in-progress showings.

See Vitalstatistix website for current Adhocracy events.
