Over the last 20 years he has generated an innovative array of projects across visual art, architecture, installation, video and theory have been commissioned and presented in Australia, Canada, Japan, South Africa, South America, the UK and throughout Europe. He originally trained as a carpenter, has a B.A. in Performance (Dance), is a qualified Feldenkrais practitioner and in 2004, commenced studies in architecture. The culmination of these varied inquiries &#8211; each distinctly exploring the spatial and performative relationships between the body, site, place and the built form &#8211; provide a unique platform of knowledge in his working life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">He was the inaugural Critical Path Associate Artist 2012\/13, Live Art Curator at Campbelltown Arts Centre from 2012 \u2013 14 as is currently Artistic Director of OSCA \u2013 Open Space Contemporary Arts, in South Australia.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">His extensive working practice includes leading roles in the development, co-ordination and facilitation of interdisciplinary arts labs in Australia, South Africa, Germany and Montreal\u2013 including <em>Splendid Arts Lab<\/em> 2010 &amp; 12, <em>SITUATE- Art in Festivals 2013,<\/em> <em>Openlab14 and 16<\/em>, South Africa, <em>Generating the Impossible<\/em>, Montreal 2011 and <em>Thinking spaces\/ Active interpretations<\/em>, Tanz im August, Berlin in 2007.<\/p>\n<p>Email: <a href=\"mailto:paulgazzola@gmail.com\">paulgazzola@gmail.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/paulgazzola.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/ABOUT.pdf\">Full BIO<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Artist, curator, video maker &amp; scenographer Paul Gazzola is an artist and curator working in the expanded field of contemporary performance, sculpture and scenographic design.
